How It All Began

Dan Baumann Chief Architect User Since Version 1 - SN 94So, how did get started?

In 1993, I was the 94th person to purchase a copy of Chief Architect, V. 1. After installing the two discs onto my computer, I was immediately impressed with how easy it was to draw a set of plans for a project. From that moment on, I was hooked on this new CAD (computer-aided design and drafting) program called Chief Architect. Perhaps you have had a similar experience.

For the past 17 years, I’ve had the pleasure of being a beta tester, dealer and trainer for Chief Architect and have drawn thousands of plans for both contractors and homeowners. This has been a wonderful experience, but what has brought me the most satisfaction has been meeting, training and helping thousands of contractors, designers and architects discover how Chief Architect can make a difference in the way they do business.

Dan Baumann Chief Architect Trainer Since Version 2I’m looking forward to many more years of helping people in the building industry learn how to turn their design efforts into a profit center.
